The first time I used Online Care was on a Sunday morning. I had an issue with my
elbow, and I didn’t want to wait until Monday, so I went on Online Care and
talked to a doctor.
The second time was a Tuesday afternoon. I had a sinus problem, but I had missed
an appointment with my regular doctor due to a flight delay out of Las Vegas. I
needed to be back at work the next day and couldn't get in to see my doctor, so
I went on Online Care. I was able to get my prescription filled so I could pick
it up at my regular pharmacy.
I liked that all my health history was right there online, so the doctor could see
it. The system asks you if it’s alright for the physician to have access to
that information, so that's good, too. That was really helpful.
The two best things about Online Care are the convenience and the low cost. It helps
me take care of whatever issue I have. Then I can do whatever I want with the rest
of the day.
I recommend Online Care to people all the time. It’s great that HMSA has brought
this to Hawaii.
