2011 Winners
There is immense talent among our youth, and it keeps getting better! This was made
apparent by the 224 videos submitted this year by young producers from 37 public
and independent middle and high schools across the state.
The 2011 HMSA Teen Video Awards Contest challenged students to enter 27-second public-service
announcements about how choices today impact tomorrow. Video categories included
mental health, physical health, and social health. Finalists were honored at a red-carpet
awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu.
Winners received money to purchase video equipment for their schools.
Congratulations to the winners of the 2011 HMSA Teen Video Awards Contest, brought
to you by HMSA, the Hawaii State Department of Education, Mothers Against Drunk
Driving, and the Hawaii Meth Project.
